If Wandavision is to come out this year I think it will either be Christmas Day or New Year's Eve for the first episode. The Mandolorian S2 will finish on the 18th of December and if its true Disney doesnt want its premium streaming series releasing at the same time then they would wait for Mandolrian to finish its run then replace its slot with another series. The only factor that has me thinking it might be more likely to release on the 31st is the fact that Pixar's Soul is releasing Christmas Day but I do hope this is best case scenario and the series isnt delayed again.

My hope is that this near MCU-less year should give Marvel Studios crew of writers, filmmakers etc. more time to flesh out future Phases. There's plenty of worldbuilding & stories left to be told, especially how will the mutants & F4 arrive in the MCU and what's next for the Avengers after the Big 3 have moved on.

level 2

What is interesting is that while no additional movie (apart for SM3, but that is only due to the rights) was announced since the original phase 4 announcement, 4 more series (80% of the initial batch, 100% if you consider that "what if" is animation) were announced and also moved some baby step. I believe that in a year or 2 disney plus will be the baseline source of MCU content, sort of "regular comics" while the movies will be used for big events. It is still not there but i can spot a trend already.

Should we expect the WandaVision release date reveal in the Disneys Q4 earnings call ? Or so you think they will save it for the Investors Day ?

level 2

If it's still planned for 2020 there's no way they reveal it that late. If November comes and goes and there's no Wandavision date, i think it'll be safe to assume it's getting delayed to 2021.

level 2

Either one to be honest, but my bet is the Q4 call since the Investor Day definitely looks like it’ll have bigger plans.

I truly hope everyone is doing well, and things are definitely looking better in regards to the entertainment world, especially the MCU.

I’m expecting after WV, we’ll get a load of MCU content. Such as Marvel Disney+ shows airing one after another, then movies such as Black Widow and Shang Chi releasing fairly soon.

level 2

It doesnt make sense. They should space them out. 1 per season like they showed in SDCC. Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall

Mulan made less than $100M as a Premier Access title so far. Nonetheless, Bob Chapek indicated that the format may have a future.

I'd guess that they're not going to put Black Widow on the streaming service.

For some reason, I never gave thought to Snyder directing a Marvel movie (not saying it's going to happen, just a thought). I'm curious what would be the best fit for him. For some reason, I can imagine him wanting to do Spider-Man.

Just some news on what the Sony shows are, and then that’s probably the next few years mapped out in terms of what the projects all are. Aside from maybe some quickfire DC Tv show announcements like Peacemaker was.

Why Hollywood start attacking MCU recently?
